Tech Team
The "Tech Team" is a group of students that
meet two nine-week periods of the school year. The first nine-week period group
takes pictures and organizes them into a scrapbook. This year was the first time
we did a digitized, computer scrapbook. The second nine-week period works on the
school web page. Our web page won a national honor this year and was featured in
the "Tech Directions" February 2008 edition of their magazine. This is our brand
new webpage! Hope you like it! It is a great privilege to be on the "Tech Team"!

The Moody Jr. High School “Tech Team”
is a motley group of 7th and 8th grade students, some of whom have seldom used a
computer or a camera. These students work together to
create and update our school webpage. The “Tech Team” is actually two groups of
students – each group meeting for a nine week period.
One group of the “Tech Team” works with the teachers’ pages to keep them
up-to-date, their schedules current, the school trips listed, the wish list
up-to-date, and anything else that is needed by the teacher to be put on the
webpage. Along with this, teachers’ have personal pages that reflect the
teachers’ preferences – their hobbies, sometimes
their family pictures and any other information they will share with us. This group also keeps all the sports pages, club pages,
special events, and special honors current.
Another group is in charge of the photography of all events, the scrapbook for the school, and all pictures for the webpage. These pictures must be sharpened,
cropped, framed, etc., to make them look the best possible for wherever they are to be used. This year was the first time we did a digitized, computer scrapbook.
It turned out looking really great!
It takes both groups to make the Moody Jr. High School web page and to do a
school scrapbook. We are proud of
our school and want our web page and scrapbook to show all the great events we do at our
school.
