HELP MJHS!
The Moody Junior High School First Priority Club meets each
Wednesday morning beginning at 7:25. First Priority is a student
led organization for Christians on school campuses throughout
Alabama and other states. Stokes, the Youth Minister at Community
Presbyterian Church and Patrick, the Minister of Children and Youth
at Moody United Methodist Church supervise the Moody Junior High
Club. Mrs. Sublett is the Faculty Sponsor for our club. Each
Wednesday a different student leader will bring a devotion and pray
for the group gathered that day. Prayer requests are taken from the
students present. Each year a Leadership Seminar is held at
Southeastern Bible College sponsored by Chick-fil-A. The speakers
for the seminar share ideas on what qualities are found in effective
leaders. These speakers try to encourage the youth and adults
present to be effective leaders in their schools, churches, and
communities. The day has lots of singing, speaking, and door prizes
given by the Chick-fil-A cows. The 2007-2008 Club averages 50 to 60
students each Wednesday. First Priority is an important part of
these students’ lives and is open to everyone.
